After a day filled with excitement, anticipation and the intense moments of the Spelling Bee Competition, 2 October 2026 ended on a beautiful note with the Rotary Friendship Exchange Uyo 2026 fellowship.
The friendship exchange brought togather Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Eziukwu Aba, Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis and the Rotary Club of Uyo. The evening offered Rotarians, guests, Friends of Rotary and visiting members from other clubs an opportunity to unwind, connect and enjoy one another’s company.
More than just another fellowship, it was an informative, engaging and refreshing gathering filled with meaningful conversations, singing, retreat songs, laughter, games and refreshments.
For many who had spent hours at the Spelling Bee Competition earlier in the day, the fellowship provided a welcome break. The tension and excitement of the competition gave way to relaxation as everyone shared stories, strengthened friendships and created new memories.
The evening also reflected an important part of Rotary’s values. While Service Above Self inspires Rotarians to serve their communities, friendship helps build the connections that sustain that service. Through fellowship, members strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and find renewed joy in working together.
The Rotary Friendship Exchange Uyo 2026 was a reminder that Rotary is not only about the projects we undertake but also about the people we meet, the friendships we build and the experiences we share along the way.
