A Gift of Opportunity, a Future of Possibilities
Education opens doors to opportunity, builds confidence and gives young people the chance to shape their future. For students facing financial barriers, the right support can make a lasting difference.
On Sunday, 4 October 2026, the Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis, in partnership with the Umoh-Eboh Ancestral Scholarship Foundation and CAF America, awarded scholarships worth over ₦5 million to selected beneficiaries in Edem Ekpat Community, Etinan, Akwa Ibom State.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to making education more accessible, supporting students’ academic aspirations and helping young people pursue their goals with renewed hope and confidence.
For each beneficiary, the scholarship represents more than financial assistance. It is an investment in their potential and an opportunity to continue their education with greater support. It also sends an important message: their dreams matter, and their future is worth investing in.
Through this partnership, the Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis and its partners are helping to address educational barriers and create opportunities for young people to work towards their ambitions.
The Club appreciates the Umoh-Eboh Ancestral Scholarship Foundation and CAF America for partnering on this initiative. Their collaboration demonstrates the value of working together to support education and contribute to community development.
Investing in education means investing in people, families and the future of our communities. By supporting students today, we help create opportunities for tomorrow’s professionals, community leaders and change-makers.
For the Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis, this initiative reflects the spirit of Service Above Self and the commitment to creating lasting impact through meaningful community service.
