The Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis held its Inaugural Fellowship for the 2026/2027 Rotary Year on Sunday, 12 July 2026, at EMMJM Hotel & Suites, Brooks Street, Uyo.
The fellowship marked the club’s first formal gathering of the new Rotary year and provided an opportunity for members, guests and friends of Rotary to connect and strengthen relationships.
A major highlight of the evening was an insightful keynote address delivered by Dr. Opone, AC. The programme also included the unveiling of the club’s Project 10/10 Maternal and Child Health Initiative 2.0, which was designed to improve healthcare services for mothers and newborns across selected communities in Akwa Ibom State.
The fellowship further featured the presentation of awards and the induction of new members into the Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis.
Before the main programme, guests participated in games and cocktails, creating a relaxed atmosphere for interaction and meaningful fellowship.
The inaugural fellowship set the tone for a Rotary year focused on service, stronger membership, partnership and sustainable community impact.
