The Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis held a Membership Seminar on Sunday, 16 August 2026, Uyo, bringing Rotarians together for an evening focused on strengthening membership and improving the overall Rotary experience.
The seminar was themed “Quality Membership as the Live Wire of Any Organisation: The Rotary Experience”, highlighting the important role that committed and engaged members play in the growth and sustainability of any organisation.
Building a Stronger Rotary Family
The seminar provided an opportunity for Rotarians to learn, connect and exchange ideas on how to build a stronger and more rewarding membership experience within the club.
Quality membership goes beyond numbers. It involves attracting the right people, helping members understand the purpose of Rotary, creating meaningful opportunities for participation and ensuring that members feel valued and connected to the organisation.
For the Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis, the seminar formed part of its continued effort to strengthen membership and create an environment where members can grow, serve and build lasting relationships.
PAG Ime Umofia as Guest Speaker
The seminar featured PAG Ime Umofia, Esq., Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Uyo Branch, as the guest speaker.
His participation brought an experienced leadership perspective to the conversation around quality membership and organisational growth.
The engagement encouraged members to reflect on their individual roles in strengthening Rotary and contributing to a richer experience for themselves and fellow Rotarians.
Creating Lasting Impact Through Quality Membership
A strong membership base is essential to the ability of Rotary clubs to sustain projects, develop leaders and serve communities effectively.
Through conversations such as this, the Rotary Club of Uyo Metropolis continues to encourage members to become more engaged, purposeful and committed to the values of Rotary.
The seminar was therefore not simply about membership recruitment. It was about building quality membership, members who understand the Rotary experience, participate actively, support one another and remain committed to service.
As the club continues its 2026/2027 Rotary year, the message remains clear: quality membership is central to creating lasting impact.
